Enhanced Passenger Experience
The airport is gearing up for a busy summer season, expecting to welcome over 3.5 million passengers. Travelers will notice significant improvements in their journey experience, including a new security search area, transformed catering outlets, and the innovative three-tier lounge product. This summer, passengers can choose from up to 41 flights a week to Turkey, 93 flights to Spain and the Balearics, and 42 flights to Greece. There is also additional capacity to destinations such as Barcelona, Milan, Zadar, Ibiza, and Dalaman. EasyJet has launched new flights to Alicante, and Jet2.com offers new flights to Chania. AEGEAN, the airport’s newest airline partner, will provide twice-weekly flights to Athens for the second summer season. TUI will operate two new summer destinations from Newcastle – Cape Verde and Sharm el Sheikh.
